ENERGY SAVING SYSTEM PRODUCTS

Updated: Aug 17, 2022

The ceramic industry has made significant investments in i+D+i development, innovative and sustainable construction systems, optimal for complying with criteria to create the Nearly Zero Energy Consumption Buildings (EECN) and the Passivhaus standard.

Self-supporting exposed brick facades without thermal bridges

To achieve EECN, among other things, it is essential to avoid thermal bridges, due to the significant impact they have on the building's energy demand. Self-supporting facing brick facades is the optimal solution because they achieve maximum energy efficiency, as the through facades are executed in front of the building structure and allow continuous insulation, eliminating thermal bridges from the slab fronts and pillars.

Thermal clay block facade

Thermal Clay blocks are useful for load-bearing and enclosing walls such as self-supporting facades or external thermal insulation system (SATE) facades, in all types of buildings. Its high thermal inertia favors greater damping and phase shifting of the thermal wave, giving temperature stability inside the building, improving comfort and achieving energy savings. There are various geometries of Thermal clay block, such as traditional block, the ECO range and rectified blocks.

Ceramic tile ventilated roofs

The new ventilated tile roofs for EECN are characterized for having micro ventilation under the tile and fixing the tiles dry, thus achieving a roof with excellent thermal behavior, durability with the absence of pathologies, minimum maintenance, and speed and ease of assembly. Micro Ventilation minimizes temperature changes and contributes to the maximum energy efficiency of the building.

Covers with ceramic board

The ceramic board is a material with high technical performance, ideal to be used as a roof support, both flat and inclined. It can be used on roofs over slabs supported on masonry partitions, or roofs over self-supporting joists.

Brick partitions with plasterboard linings

Silensis-Cerapy walls are a robust solution with high acoustic performance, which maintain the characteristics inherent to ceramic products, while adding constructive advantages of plasterboard, giving the partitions a perfect flatness and finish. They do not require the use of special plasterboard, since the brick provides unbeatable technical characteristics in all aspects, greater mechanical resistance, resistance to fire, humidity, etc.

Ceramic slabs

The ceramic vault is an ideal intrabeam piece used in building unidirectional and slabs. Due to its lightness, it represents savings in assembling the structure, as well as facilitating its transport and improving execution performance. In addition, the durability, reaction to fire and great aesthetic value of the vault mean that it can be used as an exposed element.
